Comments: Really enjoyed reading your article on the water-damaged ATAS-120 antenna. I have one of these antennas and, for the most part, have enjoyed it a lot. I wanted to ask your opinion and get your comments/advice on a current issue I am having. The problem I have now is that I recently changed bands from 14.300MHz to VHF/UHF. When I pressed the TUNE button, the antenna assembly moved downward and went to the lowest point and stopped. When I was done with my VHF/UHF work, I returned to the 14.300. However, when I pressed the TUNE button, nothing happened. I tried on other bands and the antenna did not move. Now, it is stuck in that position and does not tune at all. Any suggestions on what to do to get the antenna operating again or suggestions as th what may have happened? Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks and 73,
Mike in Texas

Comments: Hi Ben,
nice to see the description of the replacement procedure for the FT100 VHF/UHF output pair. Also interested to see one of my pictures from when I originally did one of mine about 6 or 7 years ago appear in it in figure 6.

Comments: Read you article on changing the caps on the Standard C528A very interesting. I have the Heath HW24HT which is the exact same radio. I purchased it new way back when, new?? It's been setting in a drawer for X number of years. The Memory Battery needs replaced and I started to change it. I found your article and looked at the caps, they are all leaking. Do you have a parts list avaiable and where di you get the replacements?? I hate to reinvent the wheel. Thanks "73's" WA7AEQ Bob
